Leading People and Teams

This one-day session focuses on the nature of leadership in relation to teams and people. You will cover the following key concepts in both theory and practice including: 

• Leading from the middle to create a motivational work environment 
• The framework related to developing and maintaining a learning environment, through which groups and organisational become increasingly effective
• Types and processes of decision making 
• Coaching and feedback (with a practical exercise)
• Team formation and development with application to the teams that participants and of which they are members.
• Difficult conversations through an experiential exercise related to preparing and engaging in difficult conversations designed to strengthen relationships and move projects ahead in organisations
• Leadership as the creation of trust

The session will include participant self-assessments of own groups and organisations, with implications for leadership behaviours
